Install VPN for remote access is simple. Just install an access server on the network and connect your device to our connect client. The access server will accept incoming connections from the Internet only if the device and user have the correct access code and necessary authentication.
A VPN connection establishes a secure connection between you and the internet. Via the VPN, all your data traffic is routed through an encrypted virtual tunnel. This disguises your IP address when you use the internet, making its location invisible to everyone.
This blog shows you how to gradually install VPN servers on Windows Server 2016 and how to easily set up VPN servers for small environments or managed server scenarios.
This is not the sales page of the VPN server. If you are considering remote access VPN or personal VPN, you should look at the DBM VPN server.

15、Open the Firewall port sand forward
If you have another firewall between the internet and your Windows Server, you have to open the following Firewall port and forward them to your Windows Server:
For PPTP: 1723 TCP and Protocol 47 GRE (also known as PPTP Pass-through)
For L2TP over IPSEC: 1701 TCP and 500 UDP
For SSTP: 443 TCP
After the installation Users have to be enabled for Remote Access to connect to your VPN Server. On a standalone server this can be done in the Computer Management MMC, in a domain environment this can be done in the user properties of an Active Directory user.
Now You can test the connection to the VPN.
Conclusion --- Install Virtual private network (VPN)
Install VPN establishes a secure connection between you and the Internet. Through VPN, all your data traffic is routed through an encrypted virtual tunnel. When you use the Internet, this will disguise your IP address so that its location is invisible to everyone. VPN connection can also resist external attacks. This is because only you can access the data in the encrypted tunnel – others can’t because they don’t have a key. VPN allows you to access regionally restricted content from anywhere in the world. Many streaming media platforms are not available in every country. You can still access them using VPN.
